I år har ni chansen att följa en urgammal tradition eller skapa en alldeles ny, genom att besöka ”Matteusbarnens julbön”. Gå med familjen genom Stockholm på tidig julaftons morgon, styr stegen till S:t Matteus kyrka och delta i det julspel som framförts sedan det uruppfördes 1934.
’Matteusbarnen’ var 1934 och är än idag alla de barn som finns i vår del av staden, i S:t Matteus församling, men ung som gammal från alla håll är lika välkommen.

Tradition since 1934 when it was performed for the first time. Here you meet Joseph and Mary, the baby Jesus, shepherds, angels and wise men. Even the Old and New Year have a role in this game. Here all the congregation's children's and youth choirs sing, here the organ roars and we all get to tune in to all the wonderful Christmas carols.
This year you have the chance to follow an ancient tradition or create a completely new one, by visiting "Matthew's Children's Christmas Prayer". Walk with the family through Stockholm in the early morning of Christmas Eve, guide the steps to St. Matthew's church and participate in the Christmas play that has been performed since it was first performed in 1934.
The 'Matthew's children' were in 1934 and are still today all the children who are in our part of the city, in St. Matthew's parish, but young and old from all quarters are equally welcome.
